Our History

Steve's Rib was founded by Steve and Karen Seikel in 1988 in the parking lot of a grocery store. The people of Edmond loved his barbecue so much that he was able to open a store of his own in the same shopping center.

Steve's Ribs and Barbecue continued to bring joy to the people of Edmond, and in 2005 he was able to open his first full-service restaurant less than a mile east of where he first started. Since 1988 Steve’s Rib has been giving Edmond the best barbecue and the highest quality customer service.

Steve & Karen are Retiring!

We have a big announcement for our loyal customers and friends: Steve and Karen are retiring from the restaurant and handing the keys over to daughter Jessie and her husband John who have both worked in the restaurant for over 2 decades. Over the past 2 years, Jessie and John became new parents and have been working exhaustively to overcome the challenges the pandemic brought our business. In order to give the family a better work/life balance, tough decisions had to be made during this transition. As a result, the last day of Steve's Rib's' Main location will be Saturday, July 9th. The hours until then are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 11 AM - 9 PM.

Steve's Rib Grabs the Silver Ring

Karen and Steve Seikel are owners of Steve’s Ribs on Second Street in Edmond. They recently celebrated their silver anniversary with new menu selections and extended summer hours. Celebrating Margarita May, new margarita flavors with lower prices are being offered.
